Laura A. Reinert, 44
February 22, 2018
Laura A. Reinert, 44, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle in Lititz due to complications stemming from the flu & pneumonia. Born in Philadelphia on September 7, 1973, Laura was a daughter of the late Donald C. and Barbara A. (Garton) Reinert and a grand-daughter of the late Samuel H.& Agnes L.(Fox) Garton as well as Charles B. & Ella (Groh) Reinert.
She is survived by a sister, Karen Reinert-Zook; a niece, Holly Singer; an aunt, Phyllis Mead; of Philadelphia, an uncle, Kenneth Garton & wife Marion Garton; of Springfield, PA. Laura also leaves behind five cousins & their families and her two “kids”; her beloved cats, Annabelle and Winnie.
Laura was a 1991 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, and later attended H.A.C.C. in Harrisburg, and massage therapy school in Philadelphia. Most recently, she worked locally as a customer service representative for K&W Tire Company. Laura recently relocated back to Lancaster after living in Everett, Washington for the past several years. Laura’s previous jobs included: Fred Myers, Everett, Ashton Cigars, Philadelphia; Kmart, Blockbuster Video, A-Z Video & IGA, Elizabethtown.
While growing up, Laura was a girl scout and was a member of the church choir at Christ Lutheran Church, Elizabethtown PA. She played the violin, was in the high school marching band and enjoyed all types of music immensely. Laura was an animal lover; referring to her dogs and cats as her fur babies. While in Washington, Laura discovered her love for coffee. She played “Barista” daily by making herself and her niece a huge cup of cappuccino from her own kitchen. Laura was quick to give her time and support to others in need throughout her life. Laura was always ready to use her strong hands (which she said were inherited from her Grandmother Garton) to give friends and family a quick massage for neck and back pains. It was through her kind and generous heart that many knew her as “Aunt Ra Ra”.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I’m so sorry to hear that Laura is gone. My heart goes out to you. I didn’t know Laura well, but I knew she was a truly good person. She was kind, intelligent, with a sense of humor that was over the top. She felt like family the first time I met her. She filled a room with warmth when she walked in. Rest in peace Laura.

Laura and her kind and giving heart will be missed so much. She was so full of life and living, so thoughtful, always willing to lend a hand and go the extra mile. This world will not be the same without her.
