Larry L. Frymyer, 70
April 4, 1953 - March 23, 2024
Larry L. Frymyer, 70 of Brunnerville, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Reading. He was born in Lancaster, the son of the late Carl D. and Jeanette M. (Grumbling) Frymyer.
A 1973 graduate of Warwick High School, Larry bled Warrior Red and Black. During the Winter of 1967 he began volunteering as a student manager at boys basketball games and continued in many support roles for over 50 years and at least 1,000 games. Larry gathered basketballs, kept stats, prepared the scoreboard, videotaped games, and corresponded with other schools to coordinate game rosters. He was fortunate to have shared the scoreboard duties with his mom for many of those years. Larry was recognized for his countless hours of service to the Warriors basketball program during halftime of a game in 2017 and was presented a Warriors basketball jacket. Larry also videotaped Warwick football games.
Larry stocked shelves with groceries at Weis Markets in Ephrata for over 30 years.
In professional sports Larry followed the Phillies, Eagles, and Hershey Bears. He also enjoyed listening to fire radio to monitor calls and he previously volunteered with the Brunnerville Fire Company and ran with Warwick Community Ambulance.
He attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lititz.
Larry’s family includes his brother, Jeffrey L. Frymyer, husband of Donna (Hollinger) of Matthews, NC, niece Cari Jo Howell, wife of Eric, and their daughters Emma and Kelly Howell of Matthews, NC, and nephew Andrew Frymyer, husband of Leslee, and their daughters Ella and Averee Frymyer of Mechanicsburg. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his niece Jamie Lynn Frymyer.
A viewing will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am with The Rev. Carolyn Lugo officiating, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery.
