Kristina “Tina” Lee Frank, 69
September 12, 2025
Kristina “Tina” Lee Frank, 69, of Columbia, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Penn State Lancaster Medical Center.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Alfred C. Schmitt and Dorothy Jeannette (Way) Petters. She was the loving wife of William R. Frank, Jr. They were married for 48 years.
A 1974 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, she went on to earn her degree with honors in Elementary Education from Millersville State College in 1977. Tina dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing children. She worked as a substitute teacher in the Penn Manor School District and surrounding schools before finding her home teaching preschool at Manor Church, where she faithfully served for 23 years until her retirement. She was a beloved member of Manor Church, where she found great joy in worship and singing in the choir. Tina had a special gift for connecting with children and was deeply loved by those she taught, both in and out of the classroom. She also served as a Brownie leader for over 10 years. Outside of teaching, Tina enjoyed traveling, camping, and gardening with her husband, Bill. She also gave her time and heart to the Connect to the Kingdom Homeless Ministry, serving faithfully and with compassion.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Frank, Jr.; her children, Kelly (Quinton) Smith-Frank, Sarah Woomer, and Will (Victoria) Frank; and her siblings, Karen (Paul) Sirbak, Randy (Brynn) Schmitt, and Jeff (Mary) Schmitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Carl Petters.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3 – 5 PM and on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 10 – 11 AM at Manor Church, 530 Central Manor Rd. Lancaster, PA 17603. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, beginning at 11 AM at Manor Church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Tina’s name to Manor Church for benefit of Connect to the Kingdom Ministries or to WJTL FM 90.3 Listener-Supported Christian Radio.
