Kevon Devante Thompson, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, who left this world far too soon at the age of 26. Kevon was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to parents Sonya Bair and Keith M. Thompson.
Kevon was a graduate of McCaskey High School. Following his passion, he pursued a career in the art of barbering and was known for his incredible talent and dedication. He loved to cut hair and took great pride in his work, ensuring that his clients always left with a smile on their faces. Kevon also worked at Tyson Foods, where he would barber the hair of his colleagues.
Known for his sense of humor and reliability, Kevon was a friend who could always be counted on. He had an infectious laugh and an ability to bring joy to any gathering. His love for his grandmother was evident in the countless moments they shared together, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Kevon’s passions included a love for the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia 76er’s. He could often be found watching the games with his family and friends. Kevon’s kind and gentle nature made him great with children, and he had a natural gift for making them laugh and feel at ease.
Kevon was the youngest of seven siblings and cherished his family above all else. He was a doting father to his two young children, Kamdyn and Dynasty. Along with his parents he is also survived by his siblings: Denisa Dixon, Damar C. Brown, Shawn Dixon, Terrance J. Hogue, Rodney Hogue, Robert B. Brown, Kyaire Thompson-Brown, Amir Thompson, and Makai Pagan. He was also greatly loved by his Uncle and Aunt.
Though Kevon battled diabetes, he remained determined to live life to the fullest and maintain a positive outlook. His strength and resilience in the face of adversity were a testament to his character.
Kevon Devante Thompson will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend, a brother, a father, and a son. He has left an indelible mark on this world, and his legacy will inspire us to embrace life with the same enthusiasm and love that he did.
A funeral service will take place Monday November 6, 2023, at Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA at 1pm. Family invites guests to a visitation prior to service beginning at 11am. Kevon will be put to rest following service at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
