Karl F. Bunz, 75

Karl F. Bunz, 75, passed away at his Lancaster Township home on Friday, October 26, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn to the late Reinhold and Ausilia (DeSantis) Bunz. Karl celebrated 52 years of marriage with his wife Catherine M. (Ramhold) Bunz last June 12th.
He graduated from New Dorp High School, Staten Island. Karl enjoyed all types of music and he sang in 1950’s and 1960’s Doo-wop Groups during High School. He loved animals, especially Golden Retrievers.
Karl served 24 years in the US Navy, both active and reserves, serving in Cypress during the Vietnam War. After the Navy Karl worked for the Julliard School of Music as an electrician and stage hand. He worked on Broadway Shows at the Majestic Theater including “Fiddler on the Roof”, as well as on TV soap operas and the Jerry Lewis Telethon.
A very hard worker Karl then worked for the Sanitation Department of New York City, retiring as a supervisor.
Karl was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and he attended Latin Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (served as an usher) and at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In addition to his loving wife Catherine, Karl is survived by their sons, Karl L. Bunz, Lancaster, and Michael Bunz, Dallastown; one granddaughter Kelsi Bunz, Lititz, and his brother Louis Bunz, husband of Esther, Phoenix, AZ.
A viewing will take place 6-8 PM Thursday, Nov. 1st at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 North George St., Millersville, PA 17551. Mass will be Celebrated by The Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel at 11:30 AM on Friday, Nov. 2nd at St. Phillips Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park with Military Honors accorded.
