K. Mitchell Kauffman, 66
May 27, 1957 - January 27, 2024
K. Mitchell Kauffman, 66, passed away unexpectedly at his Lancaster residence on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Mitch shared 34 years of marriage with his wife Christine M. (Krammes) Kauffman.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Russell “Jim” Kauffman and Francine (McMillen) Kauffman. Growing up in the country in a farm house in Conestoga, he loved animals, he always had a dog, and he enjoyed fishing. Mitch graduated from Penn Manor High School, Class of 1975, where he was very active with his classmates. In 1962 Mitch was the Easter Seal Child for Pennsylvania during the Governor Scranton administration.
Mitch worked at Armstrong World Industries flooring plant for 20 years. He enjoyed listening to live music at concerts, he was a football fan, and he was very savvy with computers. Mitch also enjoyed family vacations to Assateague Island.
Mitch dearly loved his family, his parents Jim and Francine of Lancaster, his wife Christine of Lancaster, his daughter, Krista Kauffman, fiancée of Rod Barlet of Elizabethtown, his son Dustin Krammes of Lancaster, and his four grandchildren, Jasmine, Dehvion, Aniysha, and Liam.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a contribution in Mitch’s memory to Pet Pantry of Lancaster County, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster, PA. 17603.
