June L. Brill Wayde, 82

June L. Brill Wayde, 82, of Lancaster, went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savor on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Brill. June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

June was married to Jay E. Wayde and they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. She graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School and retired from Lancaster Newspapers after 20 years of service.

June enjoyed cooking, especially during the holidays and never missed cooking a special dinner for her children’s’ birthdays. She was an avid bowler, being in numerous leagues and bowling in state and national tournaments. June loved traveling and going to the beach with her sisters. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters: Diane L. Wayde, companion of William Dixon, and Donna L. married to Arthur Skaggs, all of Lancaster; 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by a son, Phillip A. Wayde. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Mary Ann Rankin of New Providence, and Pauline married to Dick William of Baltimore, MD, and by 2 brothers Richard Brill, married to Sandy of Elizabethtown, and Charles Brill, married to Mary of Hershey.

Friends will be received on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 11AM to 12Noon at St. Joseph New Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA 17603, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12Noon, Msgr Thomas Smith as Celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Pop,Diane,and my wife Donna,
 I want you guys to know how very sorry I am.I loved mom very much,and will miss her as I know you guys will too.She will be in our hearts forever,and someday we will meet her in heaven.I am so greatful that I was able to be with her in her last minutes.I thank you guys for having me as a part of the family.Together we will get through this ,just have faith in god.
