Judith Lee Shaffer, 68
August 17, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Lee Shaffer, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, announces that she passed away suddenly of heart failure on August 17, 2025, at the age of 68.
Judi is survived by her two sons, Brent Haberstroh (Bria Bennie) of Sarasota, Florida and Chase Haberstroh (Julie Dunn) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; grandson, Lucas Haberstroh; her mother, Kathleen Carelli; and her two sisters, Andrea Carelli (Michael Toretti) and Tina Carelli (Doug Symons) of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
Judi’s happiest days were spent in Pittsburgh with her beloved “Girlie Girls”, all of whom were long-time high school friends. She was an avid Steelers fan and loved anything “Pittsburgh.” Above all, her greatest joy was her grandson, Lucas. Judi worked for the Kellogg’s Company for over 30 years, and she enjoyed playing their mascot, Tony the Tiger, at many charitable events.
Among many attributes, Judi will be most remembered for her kind heart, amazing gardening and decorating skills and her deep love for her “boys.”
A celebration of her life will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at a date yet to be determined. Donations in her memory may be made to Animal Friends Shelter at 562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or to an animal shelter of your choice.
