Josephine E. Zizza, 92

Josephine E. Zizza, 92, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away Saturday, July 28th, 2012, at Magnolias of Lancaster.  Born in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mabel (Carlstrom) Hall.  She was married to Frank Zizza, who passed away in 2004.

Jo worked at Carpenter Technology in Reading for many years.  She loved to read, and spent many hours going to the Reading Public Library.  She enjoyed socializing with her friends, especially at Penn Commons.  She attended United Church of Christ in Mt. Penn.

She is survived by her son, James E. Reever, husband of Becky, of Lancaster, a brother, Jerry Hall, of Wattsburg, PA, three grandchildren, Matthew Reever, husband of Rebecca, Sheri Reever, and PJ Ondeck, husband of Nina, and four great-grandchildren, Brett, Colin, Mackenzie, and Mya, all of Lancaster. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Brereton Manor, LGH 5 West, Magnolias of Lancaster, and Hospice of Lancaster County, for the care, support, love, and dignity, they gave to Jo.

Services and Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jo’s memory to the Reading Public Library, 100 S. I was sorry to read about Jo’s passing. The picture in the obituary is how I remember her…smiling. She had a great sense of humor, and I enjoyed visits with her when she was here in Reading.
