Joseph W. Sorrentino, Jr., 63

Joseph W. Sorrentino, Jr., 63, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph W. Sorrentino, Sr. and Carmela (Messina) Sorrentino. Joseph was the loving husband of Lisa A. (Lapera) Sorrention, and they celebrated 38 years of marriage last December.
From 1977-1981, Joseph honorably served his country with the US Army. For the past 18 years, he worked for York County Transportation as a bus operator. He had a passion for writing screenplays and produced several short films over the last 8 years. He enjoyed playing poker and liked being at home with family.
A loving husband and father, Joseph is survived by his wife, Lisa, and three children, Christina, Corrine and Nicholas Sorrentino, all of Lancaster. Also surviving are two sisters, Luciel Piteo and Joyce Pirozi, and his brother-in-law Anthony Pirozzi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602, with Father Michael Morelli as Celebrant. The family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 AM until time of Mass.

Joe the memories we had over the years were so much fun. You made me laugh everyday. Joe you made working at the castle bearable. You were also one of the toughest guys I knew. You had a huge heart. I also admired the way you loved your family. It was my pleasure to get to know you. Love ya man!
