I was so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. He was one of my first neighbors when I moved into my Manheim Township home. He always had a smile, a laugh, and a joke. Joe was very supportive and always wanted to know how my family was. I will miss him.

To the Molonoy Family: My acquanitance with Joe was though our mutual memebership at St. John Neumann Church. He and I aways connected with a smile and handshake (ocassional hug when he was having an up coming procedure or waiting test results). I always looked forward to saying hello and exchanging a few word of conversation. Despite his difficulties, he always smiled and was pleasant, What a display of chacter! Truly, I will miss him. You as a family have my heartfelt sympathy on your loss. May you be comforted (as I am) by joy filled memories of Joe. Blessings to you all.

Dear Molony Family,
As I am sure you are well aware, Professor Molony was very well respected at Elizabethtown College as others have mentioned below. I had the fortune to learn from him as one of his accounting students and through his advising of the Peer Mentor Program. It was clear that he truly cared about each of his students and gave selflessly to the success of the college and its students. I enjoyed our conversations about our shared Italian American Heritage and his professional experience. The world is a better place thanks to all of the lives that Professor Molony has touched. Sincerest condolances for your loss.

Dear Molony Family,
I remember Prof Molony as one of my favorite teachers at Etown and always looked forward to attending his class. He was extremely knowledgable while also being kind, funny, and approachable. I was sad to hear of his passing and send my condolences to you and hope you take solace in the fact that he had such a positive impact on so many people’s life. May he rest in peace.

Dear Anna — Betty and I send sincere condolences to you at Joe’s passing. My association with Joe included being members of Lancaster Italian Cultural Society (and Joe always leading Bingo at summer picnics) and both of us being faculty members at Elizabethtown College. Since Diego Cruz, an Elizabethtown College graduate I know, has so eloquently spoken of Joe’s kindness to and positive impact, I will — instead of lauding Joe’s teaching — simply second Diego’s sentiments.

I was shocked to hear from my cousin Anna that one of my best friends, Joe, had passed away. Dear Anna and family, Please accept our sympathy for Joe’s passing. He was a great person, a true light to the world, and both professional and highly respected. I first met Joe at Travis Air Force Base in California in 1962 and again later at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. Joe was truly faithful, we went to dail mass, and a man of integrity. Joe’s family lived in South Pliiladelphia so I met and visited with them frequently. I took him home to Rome, New York to visit my family and told him I would get him a date with my cousin Anna Marie Neri. He went out with her and they hit it off. Next thing I knew they were getting married. My wife, Mary and I have visited them frequently over the years and I am so grateful that Joe was a part of my life for 58 short years. Joe was just a great guy that made a difference in so many lives and he will be truly missed. God Bless the family especially Anna, his son Joseph Jr. and his wife Donna, and son Michael. Also his two sisters, Rita and Terry.

To the Molony family my prayers are with you all. I met Joe through Sertoma and often saw Joe at a weekday Mass at St. Mary’s. I see a consistent pattern of all of these comments here about Joe. Joe was faithful and a man of integrity. He was a great example of what a person should be and I hope all of these comments bring you some comfort to know how well respected Joe was and how he made a difference in so many lives.

I am so deeply grateful that Joe was a part of my life for many years. Our time together at Northwestern mutual was educational motivational with integrity and a big dose of joy. Joe always had that twinkle in his eye as he captivated his audience. Yoga tai chi but best of all was Joe’s dancing. Boy could he rip up the dance floor and did he love it.Joe met his health challenge head-on excepted it and worked hard every day to make each day matter. A 20 year challenge Joe accepted. God had so much work for Joe to do, now Joe is called home. I am proud to say that I was one of his works. I leaned on Joe many times asking for his advice his counsel his understanding. He was always right on and his mark is forever in my heart. Thank you Joe for helping me be the best person I could be. Joe I’m a better listener because of you. I told you I would not be going to your funeral and that you were not invited to mine so, see you in heaven😇🙏🏻♥️

I had Professor Molony in 2003 at Etown for an accounting class. I don’t remember much of the class, but I still remember him. He was warm, kind, and always smiling. It was clear even to a college student who didn’t want to be in the class that he truly cared and wanted to help his students. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a remarkable man. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Professor Molony was one of my first business professors at Etown and while Accounting not my strong suit or major, he always remembered me throughout my years in college and when I would come back to visit. He was such a kind person and a friendly face around campus. He will be missed and my condolences are with his family.

I was just an acquaintance. A friend introduced me to Joe after mass one day. I’d see him from time to time, mostly after Eucharistic adoration. We talked in the parking lot, sometimes briefly, sometimes for a little longer. I knew he was a holy man. I have no doubt that he is one of those who will enter through the narrow gate. Even though we now live in Florida, I feel sad that I will never see or talk to Joe again (In this life). To those of you who loved him most, I send my deepest sympathies. I know that he will be missed.

Joe is one of the finest men I’ve ever had the pleasure and priviledge to call a friend. A fellow Sertoman for many years, Joe not only was an exceptional President of the club but gave us years of humorous entertainment by appearing in the annual Sertoma Chicken BBQ Shows, produced to promote the World’s Largest Chicken BBQ. We will long remember his dedication and wit.

Dearest Molony family, Professor Molony (I could never work up the courage to call him “Joe”!) was not only my most memorable professor at Etown, but such an influence on my life. His laughter lit up the room and his compassion for every one of his students was overwhelming. I am so blessed that we were able to be paired together for his first Peer Group of freshman and continued to have a relationship after I graduated. His thoughtfulness, advice, and genuine love for life will always stay with me. My family and I send our deepest condolences and wish you comfort during this difficult time.

Joe, I didn’t think I wouldn’t see you after the pandemic. We never got to write that book together…life stopped us in mid-sentence…”but maybe that’s for the better!” you would say…
I’m forever inspired by your humanity, sense of humor, patriotism, mentorship, erudition, your art of listening, your witty insights on everything from pop culture, to sports, to 1950s Italian-America, and above all, your kind spirit! You will be tremendously missed! Farewell, Giuseppe…you made a ding in the universe and I am infinitely grateful for your friendship.
