Joseph P. Penna, 66
Joseph P. Penna, 66, of Neffsville, passed away, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Pottsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Zelonis) Penna. Joseph was the husband of Marilyn Halpin.
Joseph was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. He loved to fish and spend time with his family, who will miss him.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marilyn is a son; Joseph Penna Jr. husband of Barbara of Columbia, and a daughter; Kimberly A. Good wife of Edward Brock of Lancaster. 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 27, 2009 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 601 E. Delp Rd. Lancaster 17601 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Richard Youtz as celebrant. Family and friends will be received Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery.

Hi, Daddy. It’s been almost 10 yrs since you are gone. I miss you so much, Dad. I could always come to you with anything. You always took the time to listen and we’re so understanding. You never judged me or held anything against me. You always understood what I was going thru, no matter what. U never once turned your back on me & loved me unconditionally. U are the best Dad ever. Dad, you are getting a package asap. As you asked i looked after mom till the very end. We had much fun in the years after you left us,with much sorrow. I/we made mom keep on keeping on as you would have been proud. Miss you both greatly & meet you some morning! Son, Joe AMSC lives on dad!
Grandma, we love you. Pappy will be missed dearly but not forgotten. He will remain in our hearts and prayers. He will be looking down on us now smiling peacefully and we will look up at him and know that we will always have our guardian angel by our side. I love you more than words can say and our condolences go out to you.
