Joseph E. Clark, 62

Joseph E. Clark, 62, lifelong Lancaster resident, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital. Son of the late John T. and Constance L. Clark, he graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School. Joe worked at Elizabethtown College and then as a nurses aid at Duke Convalescent Home. He served as an usher at Historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Surviving are his brother Charles, husband of Queen Clark of Lancaster and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Joe was preceded in death by his brother Rev. Theodore Clark.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10 AM Friday, February 10, 2012 at Historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with The Rev. Leo M. Goodman, III as Celebrant. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603. I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing.  Joe and I became good friends when we rode the bus between E-town and Lancaster twice daily.  Unfortunately I lost track of him when I moved from Lancaster but thought of him often.  Please except my heart-felt condolences.
