I knew Jack when he was just starting out in advertising- in Houston. Jack, you climbed that ladder and did well for yourself. Now, rest in peace brother.

Dear Sarah and family – I was shocked and saddened to learn of Jack’s passing. He was the best boss I ever had – a great teacher, mentor, and confidence booster, as well as a friend. It was great fun to sing with Dog’s Breakfast and share our love of music. I regret that I lost touch with Jack after I had my sons and got busy with motherhood. I will always cherish the years I worked with him and all the jam sessions. Most of all, I’ll remember the twinkle in his eye and beaming smile as he let out his amazing, hearty laugh! My deepest sympathies to you all. Love and miss ya, Cap’n Jack!

Jack was my brother-in-law but he was so much more than that. He was a very kind and generous person. He loved to sing and play the guitar. I remember a time when he came up to Bethlehem for Musicfest and he stayed at our house. He sat on the front porch and played his guitar. That was also the time I slipped on the steps and fell down. He immediately went to Home Depot and installed stair treads. That was just the kind of guy Jack was. Always there for everyone. My condolences go out to Sarah and the entire family. You may be gone Brother but you will never be forgotten. Much love ❤️

Jack was my brother-in-law and we had an immediate connection from the time we first met. We shared a deep love of music and family. We enjoyed many hours of playing and going to see numerous performers. He often times told me that we have to keep the music alive. Had a great sense of humor and was a very generous person and always had family first and foremost in is mind. As his health failed he never complained. He was another brother to me and I will miss him very much. God bless and rest in peace. My deepest condolences to Sally and the rest of the family.

Cap’n Jack you will be greatly missed. A great creative thinker, a drummer, a guitarist, and a mentor to many. Hope your sailing in the big blue sky and listening to some John Prine while enjoying a cold beverage.
Thinking of Sarah and all his loved ones.
