John Michael Dziedzic, 86

April 11, 2018

John Michael Dziedzic, 86, of Leola passed away on April 11, 2018 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Catharine (Grynastyl) Dziedzic.
John was extremely patriotic and was a proud Army veteran. He served the country he loved during the Korean War. After his time in the Army he was a Machine Designer and Draftsman for RCA.
John was a jack of all trades and master of none. He was a talented wood worker and built furniture for himself and for others. He was very proud of his home, which he renovated and cared for. He could also take a computer apart and put it back together. He was intelligent, savvy, and hardworking. As much as he cared for his home, he doted on his wife of almost 39 years, Joanne.
He was a member of the VFW in Lititz and the American Legion in New Holland.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, four children; John Dziedzic Jr. of Leroy, NY, Thaddeus Dziedzic of Quarryville, Edward Dziedzic of Lancaster, and Laura (Dziedzic) Werner, wife of Dusty Werner of Willow Street, three step-children; Michael Good of West Lawn, James Good of Gilbertsville, and Jeffrey Good of Manheim. He is predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings.
A graveside service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Friday, April 20, 2018 at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in John’s name to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, Mail Code 10V, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA, 17042 or the Humane League of Lancaster County at 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Sad to read that John has passed away. I knew him from working and the Lititz VFW. I always found him kind and friendly. May God grant him eternal peace.
