John “Jack” C. Clime, 91

John “Jack” C. Clime, 91, of Mountville, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018.
Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Clair M. Clime and Alice V. (Ranck) Clime. He was the loving husband to Blanche E. (Morrison) Clime for over 37 years.

Jack retired from Conestoga Heating and Plumbing Supply Company after 26 years. Jack was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving in WW II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lancaster. He was a lifelong member of the BPOE 134 of Lancaster, serving as chaplain for many years and a member of the American Legion Post 34. Jack enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching hockey and playing bridge, and he was also an avid duckpin bowler and billiards player. Above all, Jack will be remembered for his kind heart for he was a friend to all and a stranger to none.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Karen Gularte and Stacey McKinney; six grandchildren: Elizabeth Hoover, Michael Gularte, Nicholas Gularte, Kathryn Gularte, Chelsey Garrett and Rachel Garrett Mercer; five great-grandchildren: and a nephew, Robert Lenhardt. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Nancy A Hoffman and Mary A. Lenhardt; a nephew, John T. Lenhardt and a grandson Jonathon Gularte.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:30AM at the Lancaster Elks Lodge 134, 219 N Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends and family will be received following the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in honor of his wife.

Dear Family, I’ve known Jack since I was 14 yrs. old.  His Mother & my Mother played in a Pinocle card club for over 50 yrs.  I also played Bridge with him at Maple Grove.  My husband knew him since we are all native Lancastrians.  He was a great guy!  Please accept our deepest sympathy
