Dear Cathy, Johnny, Heather, Krista, and Valerie,
It seems like a lifetime since I saw you and I am sorry for that 🙁 I was hoping to see John before he passed, Sue and I would have loved that, but unfortunately my mom was very ill these last 4 years so my days were spent caring for her until she passed this past June. I watched the entire video and cried thru 99.9% of it. It was so beautiful and a true testament to who John was. Kind, loving, funny, and a dedicated family man. He loved you all so much! I will always remember the restaurant days, babysitting, and Puerto Rico (El San Juan Towers) <3…they were some of my best memories. I hope you are finding some peace in his passing, I know how much you are missing him, and I hope the wonderful memories will remind you of what a great man he really was. I miss you all and hope to come visit soon so you can fill me in on all that I have missed since my last visit in 1994. My deepest condolences and may God be with you.
Love~ Christine (Marulli) Eccles

My condolences to the Lackner family.Johnny was an old friend of mine from the 50’s and 60’s. We lost touch along the way.He went into the army and I into the navy.I’m sorry that we didn’t reconnect our friendship until two years ago.He was the sharpest teen that Ridgewood,NY ever saw.I’m proud to have been his friend in those years and again these last two.Sorry I didn’t get to see him again in person but our almost daily e-mails kept us in touch.I turn on my computer and I miss him and all his funny jokes that I would send to many others.
Goodbye old friend
