John J. Kieley, Jr., 64

John J. Kieley Jr, 64, of Willow St., passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Agnes (Kubala) Kieley. He was the husband of Barbara (Weibley) Kieley for 41 years.

John worked for NTNBCA (Federal Mogul) as a heat treater for 46 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, AM VETS post 19, Rheemstown Athletic Club, and Pequea Valley Sportsman Assoc. John loved the outdoors epecially hunting and fishing. He played modified softball for Thompson’s Realty Blue Team. John was a loving husband, father, and best Pop Pop a kid could ask for.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son John J. III husband of Liana Kieley (Jackson) ,of Strasburg and a daughter Michelle Flint wife of Dr. Roy W. Flint, of Lancaster. 2 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. 7 sisters; Barbara Underhill, Theresa Matthew, Catherine Goncalves, Elizabeth Harting, Margaret Kieley, Mary Jane Murr, and Susan Bowser. And a Brother Paul Kieley.

He was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Messer.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Gift of Life 401 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 119 S. Prince St. Lancaster 17603 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Leo Goodman as Celebrant. Friends will be received at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 414 E. King St. Lancaster 17602 Monday July 7, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. Interment will follow Mass on Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
