John F. Rhoades, 55

John “Jack” F. Rhoades, 55, passed away at his Millersville home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. He was born in Charleroi, PA to Frances (Kalinoski) Rhoades and the late John R. Rhoades.

He graduated from Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, FL and was a proud veteran, having served in the US Air Force in Ramstein, Germany and Grand Forks, ND as an Airman First Class. Jack loved his job as a custodian at Penn Manor High School, with blue and gold running through his veins. He liked meeting and speaking with everyone. Jack was a true Pittsburgh sports fan.

In addition to his mother, Frances, Jack is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Renee Rhoades of Murrysville, PA; and three siblings, Barry Rhoades, husband of Cindy (Brown) of Lancaster, Frances, wife of Vince Petti of Davie, FL and Sandra, wife of Kenneth Morrissey of Lake Worth, FL. Both his father John and brother Michael Rhoades preceded Jack in death.

Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Manor Family Fund, P.O. Box 1001, Millersville, PA 17551.

My deepest condolences to Jack’s entire family. It was a total shock to hear of his passing. I was totally blessed to have known Jack and be his friend and neighbor for many years. I truly enjoyed the many talks we had and the time spent with him. I will miss him a great deal. My heart and prayers go out to his entire family .
