John D. Yellets, Jr., 77
December 26, 2024
John D. Yellets, Jr., 77, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at his residence.
Born in York County, he was the son of the late John D. and Kathryn E. (Rudy) Yellets, Sr.
After serving his country in the Army, John dedicated many years to Armstrong World Industries, where he retired from his role in maintenance. A skilled handyman, he could fix just about anything, always lending a helping hand. John had a passion for drag racing. He previously worked at Maple Grove Raceway. He especially admired John Force, never missing a chance to cheer him on at events or from home watching on tv. In his downtime, John enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: watching old Western movies, adding to his impressive model car collection, fishing, and soaking up the sun at the beach. His great sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him.
John is survived by his fiancé, Terri Diclemente; his children, Richard (Rebecca) Yellets, Robert (Christine) Yellets, Christa (Todd Krchnar) Leighton, Heidi Browne, and Allie Browne; his sister, Donna (Charles) Musser; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carol Davis; and daughter, Sarah Yellets.
Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to assist with John’s funeral expenses. Contributions can be directed to Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, who can be reached at 717-560-5100. Your generosity and support during this difficult time are greatly appreciated.

I’m beyond words of my love for my love, John. I play the memories of our life together. We had our moments but we had love and very special times together. I know your mom was waiting for you, she loved you dearly. I will and am missing you terribly. Rest in peace my love. May perpetual light shine upon you. I will join you again. All my love, Dubby
