Deb and Julia,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. The fight your family has undergone during the time I have known of it have encouraged and inspired me as to what can be accomplished through the love and support of family, and strong people with good purpose. Deb, you have always been a great example of grace under pressure, and I know that will see you through. The closeness I have seen between you and Julia will be a strong support for both of you as deal with this loss, I’m sure. I’ll pray for you both to have peace with this horrific loss.
My very deepest sympathies,

Dear Deb and Julia,
We were so lucky and blessed when we first moved to Lancaster, to discover what wonderful neighbors we had across the street. You were our very first friends when we moved to Landisville. John came over with a huge cooler full of drinks and snacks on our moving day to welcome us to the neighborhood. That was the most heart warming welcome we have ever had!
I also remember when we first discovered John’s culinary talents. He was an amazing cook especially any of his Portuguese dishes with his special hot red sauce!
I also remember very clearly when I first saw an ipod. John showed us this new gadget that would hold thousands of songs. He always kept up the latest technology.
Most of all, John’s passion and love was the strongest for his family!
May his memory be eternal!
With love and sympathy, Keith, Elena and Lukas Bartlett

Dear Deb and Julia
I am so sorry and saddened to hear of John’s passing. I’m not sure I ever bonded as quickly or shared as many laughs as I did with John. Great times on fishing and golf trips and of course our mutual love of food! I thought of him so often and he will be so missed. My thoughts are with you both and your extended family during this difficult time.
Love Dave, Kristen, Sarah and Madeline Unsworth

Dear Ferreira Family,
May you feel the love, comfort and support from family and friends.
Jesus himself said “… I am the resurrection and the life,,,” (John 11:25,26) These words give us hope for the future, knowing that through Jesus Christ we can have the sure hope of seeing our loved ones again – happy and healthy. May this promise give you added strength to get through this extremely difficult time.
Again, I offer my deepest sympathies,
Lona C.

My heart goes out to you and Julia always but even more so during this time. I consider myself fortunate to have a person of John’s caliber cross my path and I will cherish the fond memories of him, for example only John could…..
1. make an expensive caviar pizza
2. speed down the back roads of Lancaster in the Viper
3. make everyone laugh with his infectious humor
He was a wonderful man, husband, father and will be missed by many.
XOXO, Celeste

Dear Deborah, family and friends,
We were saddened to learn of John’s passing. For many years, since John’s illness was made known to us by Paul Crawford, he has been on our daily prayer list in our office.
Updates on John made it clear that he was courageous in his battle and caused us to pray harder for his relief.
Know of our prayers for your family and loved ones. We will have a Mass celebrated in Toronto for John.
May his soul rest in peace.
Regards,
Jim Hughes and staff
