Condolences to the Family

June 30, 2022

Hello John,
It has been years since I have seen you last but I often think of you. 12 years or so I think. I often think back to that summer my junior year in 2010 when me you and Logan would hang out by the creeks and ponds of oberlin. We would talk about the future. You gave me courage and worked me up to be a better athlete than I was but you were charismatic. You couldn’t help it. In the ensuing years after your death I would lose many more people we grew up with through drugs or whatever. I do not think any of us were prepared to grow up. But I often think of you and that summer and the fun we had running around with the townies. I thank you for everything you gave me. I hope everyone we grew up with will remember that summer and not forget that we were all a small town family. Not forget where we came from. I will never forget as you are all in my heart.
Walking with you always,
Dani Mihna

I recently met John at my home a few months ago, I believe it was in May.  He came in our home with our daughter, our only child Kirsti.  He was very pleasant, polite and all smiles as he introduced himself to my husband and I.  It was late and i was heading to bed, they were in the family room watching a movie and they laughed and laughed till we hours in the morning.  I wish I got to know John, my daughter thought the world of him, she enjoyed his smile and his sense of humor, he always made her feel better when she was down, and made her laugh no matter what.   I pray for your family that you have peace and comfort through this very difficult time, but know John was loved by many people and he certainly made an impression to last a life time.
