Joe Tom Daniels, 73

Joe Tom Daniels, 73, of Lititz, formerly of Brooklyn, NY and more recently, Las Cruces, NM, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at UPMC Lititz. Born in San Angelo, TX, he was the son of the late Roddy and Ottie (McCarty) Daniels. Joe was the loving husband of Deborah (Thompson) Daniels, with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage on November 9.
Joe earned his associate degree from the University of New Mexico in 1968. He worked as an electrician and maintenance worker for 30 years, for the City of New York, and was a member of the Teamster’s Local #237.
Of the Christian Faith, Joe was an avid baseball enthusiast and was drafted in 1968 by the Los Angeles Dodgers to played Triple A baseball. Joe took great pleasure in watching Little League games, movies and anything that was educational. He loved to water ski and enjoyed being outdoors. Joe was also a gun collector and loved music, especially classic rock, and was part of a band in the 1960s, even writing his own music and teaching himself to play the guitar.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his nephew Michael Thompson, of Las Vegas, and brother-in-law, Chris Thompson, and father-in-law Robert Thompson, both of Lititz.
According to Joe’s wishes there will be no services.
