Jill R. (Leaper) Lechene, 59
January 10, 2024
Jill R. (Leaper) Lechene, 59, of Willow Street, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Phyllis (Wilkinson) and Jacob Leaper. Jill dedicated her professional life to Kellogg’s.
Jill found joy and fulfillment in a variety of hobbies that reflected her vibrant and adventurous spirit. She loved traveling, with a particular fondness for exploring destinations in Florida and the Caribbean. Gardening allowed her to connect with nature, and her green thumb brought beauty and life to her surroundings.
A creative soul, Jill enjoyed crafting and doing projects. There wasn’t much she wasn’t able to look at and then recreate in her own way. Embracing the outdoors, she found pleasure in camping, fishing, and bike riding, appreciating the tranquility of nature.
Jill also enjoyed trying her luck at the casino, adding an element of excitement to her leisure time.
She is survived by her daughters: April Link of Harrisburg, Chelsea Reese, wife of Jeffrey, of Fleming, and Skylar Lechene of Mountville. Her legacy continues through her granddaughter, Kaia. Jill is also remembered by her brother, Eric Leaper, husband of Melissa, of Waynesboro, and nephews, Jake and Mackenzie, husband of Kristy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Healing Journey Foundation, 703 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, PA 17602.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private.

Condolences to the Family

I want to wish Jill’s family my deepest condolences. Jill was a coworker and friend. I worked with her for many years at Kellogg’s. She was always pleasant and always had a smile on her face. I will miss seeing her, but I know she’s in a better place free from pain and illness. May God bless Jill and all of her family. Matt Evans

I can’t express the sense of sadness when I heard that Jill had passed. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to Jill’s girls, Eric and Missy Leaper and family. We had many fun memories when the Leaper and Sperry family and cousins got together back home in Patton, PA. and later years our visits to Lancaster to visit Jill, Tom and the girls. She knew every little place in Lancaster to take us. Jill will be missed sooooo much but will forever be in our hearts and memories. from your Sperry cousin’s in Florida and Louisiana
