Jeremy P. “Jerry” Leon, 87

Jeremy P. Leon, 87, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Morristown, NJ and Naples Fl. died Monday, December 16th, with his wife, family and beloved dog Willy by his side. Jerry and Dorothy Leon would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on December 28th.
Jerry was a proud Marine fighter pilot in the Korean war. He was an active member and board member of Spring Brook Country Club, in Morristown, NJ. A member and vestry member of St. Peter’s Church in Morristown, NJ; as well as a member of Trinity by- the -Cove Episcopal church, Naples Florida.
Jerry spent his career in Quality Control Instrumentation, starting with Brown and Sharpe Co, then starting his own company LAI (Leon Associates Inc) which he and his wife ran for over twenty years.
His special hobbies included golf, tennis, fly fishing, art and listening to jazz music. His many friends and associates will dearly miss his loving and fun personality. Never one to say I should have, could have, he chose to enjoy life to its fullest.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents Dr. A.J. Leon and Helen (nee Cutler) and brother Richard Leon Callaghan. He is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy; his beloved children Kristine Leon Rickwalder (husband David Rickwalder), Daniel Leon (wife Larisa (nee Parker)). Jerry was extremely proud of his grandchildren Harrison Leon, Hannah Leon, Hailey Leon, Hayden Leon and his inherited grandchildren Meagan Crozier, Christine Griffith and Daquan Perry. His other surviving family members include his sister Jane E. Callaghan, sister-in-law Lois Callaghan and nieces LeeAnn, Molly, Katie and Samantha.
There will be a celebration of life in Mystic, CT in the spring on a date to be determined. Jerry will be missed by his family and friends but never forgotten. Semper Fi

Just learned this morning that my friend Jerry went to be with the Lord. I have so many memories of funny and enjoyable meals with he and Dottie. Never a dull moment when with him. As I remember Mr. Leon, my heart swells with joy and love. He was nothing less than cheerful, encouraging, bold and ready to laugh. A talented business man and impeccable husband and father. You will be missed Mr. Leon. Rest in peace.
