Jeffrey Eugene Hornberger, age 74, of Manheim, passed away at the Lebanon VA Hospital Longterm Hospice Care on December 7, 2024 with his daughter by his side. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Gladys (Shenberger) Hornberger. After graduating from high school, Jeff honorably served his country in the United States Navy serving on the USS Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he began working alongside his father at Howmet Fastening Systems. He then went on to work at Rohrer’s Quarry Inc. where he retired after 30 years.
Continuing with his love for country and other Veterans, Jeff was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans Association and enjoyed volunteering at the Lebanon VA Hospital helping other Veterans. With his love of the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Rattlesnake Camp in Grugan Township in Clinton County, PA. He also found relaxation through sitting at Lititz Springs Park and enjoyed the scenery. Jeff was an avid Philadelphia sports supporter rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Jeff is survived by his children: Brian G. Hornberger (husband of Dawn) of Millville, PA. and Lisa Nicole Ludwig (wife of Tom) of Vail, CO.; two grandsons: Laszlo G. and Leyth C. Ludwig; and two sisters: Mary Jo Shaub of Lititz and April Smith (wife of Bernie) of Annville, PA.
