Jean M. Zehring, 89

February 05, 2016

Jean M. Zehring, 89, of Cedar Haven, entered her heavenly home, February 5, 2016. Her son, David, and sister, Patricia were by her side. She was greeted at the gates of her forever home by her husband of 60 years, Daniel E. Zehring Sr., who passed March 5, 2006. She was preceded in death by son Terry, in 1968, and siblings Earl, Richard, Donald, Marilyn, and William, as well.

Jean was born in Lebanon, PA, November 2, 1926, the daughter and firstborn of Clarence and Martha (Sohn) Heilman.

Jean is survived by her son, David Zehring and his wife Tracey. Grandchildren, Taylor and Holly, sisters, Patricia (John) Mock, Beulah (Lee) Deck, brother Daniel Heilman, niece’s Terry Mock, Diane Rutt, Danica Winters, several other nieces and nephews.
Jean excelled in sewing, working in local factories.

Jean attended Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved the fellowship and Pastor Andy.

“Mom” to many, she loved to crochet, knit, play bingo, scratch lottery, word search and being with her family. She loved her best friend Irene, and spending holidays at Kendra’s house. Walking into restaurants and eating surrounded by her grandson and his friends, brought her great joy.

Thank you Cedar Haven for taking such care of our mother.

The family would like to thank all for the beautiful sympathy cards. Mom loved receiving cards, we treasure them as she would.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Disabled Veterans, or a charity of your choice.

Private interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

I love and miss you so much, more than you know. You are indeed, my true mother.  Thank you and the only father I’ve ever had, Pop, for everything, for being my parents. Thank you and Pop for being Taylor’s grandparents. He loves you both so much.  I talk to you all the time, I sometimes smell your perfume. We talk about you all the time, our lives are so different without you. I am happy you and Pop and Terry are together.  I wish I could call y’all and talk.  I wouldn’t care if you rambled on for days. LOL I love you so very much and will end with what I always told you.
i love you more than you know, love your daughter.~~~Tracy ❤️?
