Jarod David Lusk, 27

June 6, 1997 - April 03, 2025

Jarod David Lusk, born on June 6, 1997, in Lancaster, PA, left us too soon on April 3, 2025, following a tragic accident. He was just 27 years old, but in his brief time with us, he created a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Jarod was a bright and determined young man with a passion for life. He was a proud graduate of Manheim Township High School, class of 2015, where he excelled not just academically but also as a dedicated athlete. Whether he was hitting home runs on the little league baseball field, wrestling opponents, or sprinting in cross country, Jarod had a competitive spirit that inspired those around him. He treasured his time on the high school rifle team and enjoyed hunting and fishing with family, reveling in the outdoors. He also enjoyed playing and volunteering in the airsoft community.

His love for cars was a defining aspect of his life; a true car enthusiast, Jarod took pride in his Volkswagens, always eager to share his knowledge and passion for stick shifts. As a Journeyman Plumber at Frey Lutz, he poured his heart into his work, furthering his skills through four years of training at 2021 Keystone Chapter ABC. He was known by his colleagues as a dependable and skilled worker who was always ready to lend a hand.

Jarod’s compassionate nature extended beyond his work and hobbies. He was the friend everyone relied on—whether it was making dinners, providing rides, or helping friends move, he embodied kindness; values instilled in him early as a youth being baptized at Lititz Church of the Brethren. His eclectic taste in music became a defining trait, with earbuds often in place, enjoying concerts and sharing the joy of music with family and friends.

Jarod is survived by his loving parents, Maggi and David Lusk, a sister Carissa Lusk all of Lititz, maternal grandparents, Robyn and Gary Meckley of Lititz and Nevin and Susan Smith of Lancaster, as well as a host of extended family and countless friends who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Nancy Lusk.

The family will receive guests at a visitation at Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on April 19, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service to honor his life and spirit will begin at noon. Jarod will then be laid to rest at Witness Park. Memorial contributions in Jarod’s name are encouraged to be sent to the Lancaster and Berks County Humane League.

There are not words that will make you feel better right now. Having lost my step son I understand the  sorrow. I am deeply and sincerely sorry for your entire family’s loss. Jarod being with other loved ones now, being in a beautiful place of peace in the house of God, and knowing one day you will be together  one again are the things that I pray will give you some comfort.
Always with love,
