October 05, 2020

Janice Rosiere, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, 64 of Palmyra, PA returned to her heavenly home on Monday, October 5, 2020 surrounded by both her children and all of her grandchildren. Her firm faith in God supported and comforted her during her brief battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Earl Rutledge and Hester Rutledge of Peach Bottom, PA. She was a 1974 graduate of Solanco High School. A 2002 Graduate of Christ for the Nations, Dallas, TX. A 2006 graduate of Southwest University where she earned her Bachelor degree, Advanced Leadership & Pastoral Studies and Practical Theology diploma. She spent many years working on staff for CFTN in Dallas and Churches in both Waxahachie, TX and Anderson, SC.

Janice was an amazing mother to her children, Heather Lee Shellenberger of Palmyra, PA and Michael David Rosiere married to Heather Rosiere of Hutschenhausen, Germany. She was also a wonderful grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Aleeyah Elkins married to Tre Elkins, Alexis Martinez, Siena Rosiere, Aidan Martinez and London Rosiere, and great grandmother to Lorenzo Robert Elkins.

Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and she loved them with all of her heart. She is survived by her mother, Hester Rutledge, her brother Earl Rutledge, her sisters Judy McDowell and Jacqueline Gauthier. She was preceded in death by her father Earl Rutledge, her brother David Rutledge and her sister Betty Irmen.

Janice had a selfless heart. She was a giver and listener. Her mission in life was to be a testimony and bring the Lord’s love to everyone she crossed paths with. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and connecting with friends. She was very involved in various bible study and prayer groups. She attended the Worship center of Lancaster for over 25 years and most recently attended Lifeway church in Lebanon, PA.

Condolences to the Family

TO THE FAMILY OF JANICE ROSIERE
I DID NOT HAVE THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING MRS ROSIERE BUT I DO KNOW ONE OF HER DAUGHTERS HEATHER LEE SHELLENBERGER. I DO KNOW THAT HEATHER LEE IS A PERSON OF GREAT PRINCIPAL AND FORTITUDE. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT DAUGHTERS ARE OFTEN A MIRROR IMAGE OF THEIR MOTHERS. BASED ON THAT BELIEF I CONFIDENTLY BELIEVE THAT MRS ROSIERE MUST HAVE BEEN A GREAT WOMAN.
I FURTHER KNOW FROM HER OBITUARY THAT SHE WAS A WOMAN OF GREAT FAITH. SO HER FAMILY CAN TAKE SOLICE IN THE FACT THAT SHE NOW RESIDES WITH HER MAKER.
THE LOSS OF A PARENT IS DIFFICULT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND I OFFER MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO YOU, THE FAMILY.
PLEASE ACCEPT MY CONDOLENCES AND KNOW THAT, WHILE SHE PROBABLY DOESN’T NEED ANY HELP, SHE WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS.  AS WILL YOU ALSO HER LOVING FAMILY

Janice came to our Charis Bible Study. She had such a sincere, caring heart. She lit up the room with love when she entered. Her love for Jesus and the Word was very evident. I will surely miss her sweet smile, but know that she is enjoying eternal peace in heaven. I am so glad thankful that Jesus put her in my life. I look forward to seeing her again.

I must admit, I’m speechless! My deepest sympathy to Janice’s family although we rejoice to know she is in Heaven with Jesus. HALLELUJAH! I knew Janice through the Worship Center along with Ruby Jones. There was a short time that Janice would come here & we would worship while she was doing her laundry. We used to laugh at how it was enjoyable doing the laundry. I have often thought of Janice & Ruby & I see she lived in Palmyra. 2 years ago, I spent 2 months in a nursing home rehab in Palmyra. Sure wish I would have known. But some day, whether by the  grave or the Rapture, we shall meet again. May your memories of Janice comfort you through these days of sorrow. MARANATHA!

My sincere condolences to the family.  Janice was strikingly beautiful both inside and out.  I admired her.  Her legacy is in her children and grandchildren – all of whom are bright, loving people.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know this incredible lady.

Janice was a sweet friend from our Charis Bible Study. Her love for Jesus was so evident as well as her vast Bible knowledge and life experiences. She lit up when she talked about her family! I will miss her so much and look forward to seeing her again one day.   Joan Ludwig
