Janet M. “Jinx” Kuhn, 78

April 09, 2018

Janet M. “Jinx” Kuhn, 78, of Lancaster passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at LGH. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (McCardle) Roark. She was the wife of Ronald Kuhn with who she shared 25 years of marriage.
She was a 1958 graduate of JP McCaskey High School where she was a cheerleader and was involved in the Glee club. Jinx worked as a paralegal secretary for many years for Judge Michael J. Perezous here in Lancaster.
Jinx was a NASCAR fan and her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She also enjoyed figure skating and roller skating at Rocky Springs where her beauty gave her the nickname of “Jinx”. She loved Phantom of the Opera but above all her family was everything to her, and she enjoyed being with all of them.
In addition to her husband Ron, she is survived by a daughter, Lisa Cooper, wife of Eric of Lancaster; son, Robert Henry of Savannah, GA; stepson, Craig Kuhn, husband of Rhodene of Bowmansville, PA; four grandchildren, Corey, Troy, Taylor, Randy; four great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A Celebration of Jinx’s Life will be held at 2PM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private. Family and friends will be received from 1-2PM at the funeral home on Saturday. Condolences to the Family

April 16, 2018

Ron, so sorry to hear of your loss.  Was away for a few days and since I moved out of the area I only hear about these things from someone in Lancaster area who emails me.  Got word from Mary Lou when I came home.  Too late to attend the service.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  May you find comfort in knowing that she was a special person and loved by all who knew her, and you were her special person.

So sorry to learn of the loss of Jinx, a classmate who seemed forever young, somehow. My sympathy to her husband, Ronnie, also a classmate, and to her children and grandchildren.

So sorry for your loss.  I was a law clerk for Jinx and Judge Perezous in the late 1980’s.  They were like my surrogate mom and dad for that one year.  She’s the one who called Harrisburg and informed me I passed the bar exam.  Such a wonderful character and a pleasure to work with.  – Dave Glassman, Philadelphia
