Janet H. Zuchva, 85

Janet H. King Zuchva, 85, of Moravian Manor, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009. Born on March 10, 1923, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late, Harry Z., and Helen M. Russell King.  She was married to the late James L. Zuchva, who passed away in 1995.

Mrs. Zuchva was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ. She was a 1940 graduate of McCaskey high school. Along with her late husband, she owned and operated J and J Café in Lancaster, for twenty-six years until her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Zuchva was a life member of Millersville VFW Auxiliary Post # 7294. She was an avid camper who enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Zuchva belonged to the Former Riverside Camping Association.

Mrs. Zuchva is survived by one brother, Harry G., husband of Florence King of Millersville; two sisters: Caroline, wife of Earl Gilliland, of Zelienople, PA and Martha, wife of Jack Mooney of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, February 27, 2009, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc. 441 North George Street, Millersville at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10-11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Conestoga Memorial Park.
