Janet E. Sagner, 81
Janet E. (Campbell) Sagner, 81, of Washington Boro, PA went to be with the Lord, May 31, 2013. Born in Suffolk, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Sara (Davidson) Campbell. She graduated from Mahanoy Township High School, Suffolk, PA in 1949. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Samuel R. Sagner in 2004.
Janet was a kind loving person who will be remembered fondly by her friends and family. She was an independent woman who loved her family and friends, all forms of dance, gardening, and community service work.
Janet was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Millersville and an active volunteer at the Church’s Community Thrift Shop.
She is survived by her children: John Ploppert, husband of Ruth, of San Diego, CA, Jeffery Ploppert, husband of Helen, of Douglassville, PA, Jamie Ploppert, husband of Lori, of Providence Forge, VA, and Mary Ann Ploppert, of Teaneck, NJ. Also surviving are 2 stepchildren, Kelly Sagner, of Lititz, Laurie Nolan, wife of Duane, of Salisbury, NC, 10 grandchildren: Kaitlyn Topakbashian, Jason Ploppert, Gil Ploppert, Emily Ploppert, Christopher Nolan, Travis Nolan, Jordan Sagner, Joshua Bagley, Shane Bagley, Marjeanna Clines and 5 great-grandchildren: Jaden Workman, Cameron Topakbashian, Braylon Topakbashian, Landon Nolan, Xoe Clines and 2 sisters; Joan Berdiner, wife of Paul, of Washington Boro and Carol Shook, wife of Russell, of St. Paul, MN and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Campbell and first husband, John A. Ploppert.
A Memorial Service will be at 11AM on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 163 W. Frederick St, Millersville, PA 17551 with Rev. John Laughlin officiating. Friends will be received from 10-11AM at the church on Thursday. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. The family respectfully requests no flowers, and donations may be made in Janet’s memory to Grace United Methodist Church at the above address.
