Jane M. Groves, 82

Jane M. Groves, 82, passed away at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, on Friday, April 1, 2016. She was the loving wife of Henry G. “Hank” Groves for 58 years. A lifelong Lititz resident, Jane was the daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Stark) Ruebman.
A 1951 graduate of Lititz High School, Jane’s work history included RCA, Armstrong, nursery school teacher at Lititz Rec Center and secretary and part owner with Hank of Groves Printing Equipment, Inc.
Jane enjoyed water aerobics, card club, summers at Woodridge Swim Club and spending time with family and friends. To know Jane was to love her.
In addition to Hank, Jane is survived by 3 children: Tim A. Groves, husband of Lynne G. of Hopkins, SC, Cheryl Groves Jordan of Mechanicsburg and Dean S. Groves, husband of Vicki of New Cumberland; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and 6 siblings: Joan Prestegord, Janet Hill (Robert), Judith Mearig (Richard), Fred Ruebman, Jack Ruebman (Maudine) and James Ruebman (Jane).
Jane’s family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9th from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, followed by the funeral at 2:30 pm with Rev. Irvin Straw officiating, at St. Paul Evangelical Church, 200 W. Orange St., Lititz. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603 or Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
