James T. Minter, 87

James T. Minter, 87, of Washington Boro, PA passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy, PA. He was the husband of Dorothy (Helmuth) Minter with whom he was married for 62 years.
Born in Seminary, Mississippi he was the son of the late James F. and Grace (Trussel) Minter. James worked in the communications department with the Letterkenny Army Depot for many years and was a member of the VFW Post 6319 and Clay Hill Union Church both in Greencastle, PA. He attended Living Hope Community Church, was an avid classic car enthusiast, loved spending time with his family and was a US Army Veteran.
In addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived by a daughter Judy wife of Randy Martin of Washington Boro, PA; four grandchildren Carey wife of Reagan Bender, Heather wife of Mitch Shellenberger, Holly wife of Andy Byrd and Corey Martin husband of Carrie; 13 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law John Helmuth and his wife Judy of Waynesboro, PA. James was preceded in death by his sister Louise Hughes.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM from Living Hope Community Church, 2823 Columbia Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603. Interment will be held at the convenience of his family in Greencastle, PA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11AM at the Church.

Dear Dot and Judy,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jim, I wish the distance that is between us were shorter so I could be there to personnally pass my condolence to you all. He was a fine husband, father, grandfather and friend. May God be with you all during this time and give you peace and understanding. God Bless you all and my thoughts and prayers go out to you.
