James P. Krimmel, 84
James P. Krimmel, 84, of Lancaster died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Calvary Fellowship Home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Betty Krimmel. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah A. Hambleton Krimmel who died November 25, 2005 and was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy E. Rawhouser Krimmel. Jim was a machine operator at the Bearing Company of America.
His memberships include St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lancaster Leiderkrantz, American Legion, and the VFW. He served in the US Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Surviving are three step children: Stacy Detwiler, Lancaster, Kelly wife of Kent Graves, California, Guy Detwiler, Colorado, four brothers: Edward husband of Doris Mongeau, Robert husband of Gail Mongeau, Richard Mongeau, all of Lancaster and Joseph Mongeau of Columbia. Surviving also are two sisters: Theresa wife of Don Cameron and Bernadette wife of Chester Markley, both of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Wiler.
A memory service will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, Pa on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11:00AM. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the church from 10-11:00AM. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA. 17603. Arrangements are by the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel. I would like to send my condolences on the death of Mr. Krimmel.
I did not know James, But i am sure he was a great man. My mother and father were both born in lancaster, Pa. Mr. Frank Clarke and Miss. Frances Meekins.
I was looking at a pic of my mother in her back yard when she was young and she is sitting on a box with the lettering,"Bearings company of america".
