July 06, 2025
James M. Good, Jr., 68, of Lancaster, passed away on July 6, 2025 after a courageous battle against ALS.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James M. and Patricia M. Storm Good.
Jim had a 40 year career with Clark Filter. Proud of his work ethic, dedication to the company and career advancements, he began as a mechanic and retired as the Director of Quality and Product Development.
He had a great love for British cars, especially his 1977 MGB on which he did all the mechanical and maintenance work. Jim’s favorite place was his hunting camp in Lewistown, where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his lifelong best friend Dale Koser. He loved all things Jack Daniel’s, including being a “Tennessee Squire” making him an honorary landowner at Jack Daniel’s distillery in Lynchburg.
Jim is survived by his children: Brittany married to Joshua Seidenstricker and James M. III married to Kristina Good, both of Lancaster, his 2 grandchildren Tenley and Connor Seidenstricker, his sisters Carol Good and Cindy Wintsch, and his partner, Deborah Patton of Lancaster.
Please consider making a contribution in Jim’s name to ALS United Mid Atlantic, 1015 Virginia Drive, Suite 110, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held in the near future, for which an announcement will be published.
