James Earl “Jim” Laudenglos, 59
James “Jim” Earl Laudenglos, 59, of Pequea, PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Born in Denver, CO, he was the son of Shirley (Boutwell) Vance and the late John Laudenglos. Jim was the husband to his beloved wife of 32 years, Sylvia (Schneider) Laudenglos.
Jim graduated from South Denver High School. He was baptized at St. Francis de Sales Parish of Denver, CO. From 1976-1980, he worked at Lancaster Malleable Castings and from 1980-1985, Jim worked at Ellis Construction. Jim worked as a house painter from 1985-2005 for James S. Bair & Sons until he retired. Jim had a passion for motorcycles and horses.
In addition to his wife, Sylvia, and mother, Shirley, Jim is survived by a half-brother, John Laudenglos of Buckley, WA; an aunt, Francie McCarthy of Denver, CO; and a cousin, Bill Boutwell of Brule, NE.
Jim will be greatly missed by his constant companion, Annie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Family and friends will be received following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
