Jim was always ready with a smile, I loved his stories about life and how he was always ready to just talk. He was funny and  insightful. God was ready to take him home before we were ready. You will be missed. Heaven has received a kind, compassionate Angel.

To my sister, Jody,  and all of Jim’s relatives,… thinking of you all. What a whirlwind over a few weeks…a surprising terminal diagnosis,  a scary ER trip  after a stroke, news that the cancer was acutely effecting him,  a blessing of hospice involvement and availability of inpatient placement , but then another shock  to deal with his passing the next day. Prayers for processing grief, anger, confusion…..but also receiving a blessing to the end of suffering of Jim and effects on family to watch deterioration over time.   Hugs to all, Beth and  John Haslett

I wish to extend my condolences to Jim’s family. My husband Shimpy and I considered Jim a good friend. We always enjoyed talking to him at Valentino’s. He was a great help to me when I lost my husband four years ago. I was so surprised to hear of his passing. I saw him a while ago and we had a great talk. I will miss him.

To Jim’s loved ones: Jim was a special chapter in my life. I am Mike Moore, his chief pilot at Chem-Con. We had many ventures together, some good and some not so good. But he always treated me with the greatest respect and his comraderie was priceless. We ran into each other on occasion throughout the years, and it  was always like time had not passed. He was a true friend, and knew how to treat people well. I will miss that friendship. I wish you all peace in this difficult time. Know that he touched my heart as well.

Jennifer and Jody,
I am so very very sorry and shocked to hear of this news. My family and I have long been patrons of Valentino’s and I will deeply miss seeing Jimmy there. He was a great friend of my grandfather, Shimpy, whom we also lost a few years ago. They shared a love of sports and golf. He was an all around great guy! I’m certain he’s sharing sports highlights and old timers memories with my grandfather in heaven! Just know, he spoke very very highly of you and his grandchildren. Thinking of you all at this difficult time. May the memories of him comfort you in your time of grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jody, and your family. Please accept our deepest condolences. He will be missed!
Blessings,
Brandy & Alex and Harold “Shimpy” Shimp and the whole Shimp family.
