Jacqueline P. “Jackie” Gauthier, 57

Jacqueline P. “Jackie” Gauthier, 57, of Conestoga, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dover, DE she was the daughter of the late Earl Rutledge Sr. and Hester (Smith) Rutledge. She was the loving wife of Walter E. “Jay” Gauthier Jr. with whom she shared over 10 years of marriage.
She graduated from Solanco High School in 1986. Jackie dedicated herself to a long career as a faithful and compassionate nurse to the Willow Valley Communities.
Jackie was dedicated to her family and was an incredibly talented musician and singer. She enjoyed going to blue grass concerts with her husband Jay and was a wonderful cook. Jackie will be remembered for her compassion towards people and that welcoming smile that she carried around with her. Those who knew her will remember her for never giving up during her illness, and her love for everyone that she knew.
In addition to her husband, Jackie is survived by her children: Brandon Lefever of Conestoga, Emma Gauthier wife of Nick of WA, Ian Gauthier husband of Anna of Hoboken, NJ; siblings, Judy McDowell , Earl Rutledge Jr., husband of Jill both of Quarryville, PA and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, David Rutledge, and two sisters, Betty Jean Irmen and Janice Rosiere.
Jackie’s life will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Interment will follow in Conestoga Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received from 6-8PM on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the funeral home and again from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jackie’s memory may be made to the WellSpan York Health Foundation, 2500 S. George St, York, PA 17403.
