Jacob R. “Jake” Gelsinger, 30
August 18, 2018
Jacob R. “Jake” Gelsinger, 30, of Conestoga, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018 resulting from a cardiac condition. He was born on December 10, 1987 to Eleanor (Mock) and Russell Gelsinger. He was the loving husband of Samantha (Dalton) Gelsinger.
He was a 2006 honors graduate of Penn Manor High School and the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. He was recently enrolled in Central Penn College pursuing his Associates degree in Small Business Entrepreneurship and Accounting. Jake was also the proud owner of J. Gelsinger Custom Hauling.
Jake was a member of the W.G.H.S.E.A., NRA and the FFA. He enjoyed coaching softball for Pleasant View Baptist Church, camping, tractors, and working on his truck. He was a hard worker and when he wanted something taken care of he set his mind to it. He was the friend that was known as the “part-time relationship therapist” and tried to lend advice to anyone that asked. Most of all he cherished spending time with his son and teaching him about trucks and tractors.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, Andrew at home; brother, Joe Fulmer and his wife Megan, of Holtwood, paternal grandparents, Ronald and Esther Obetz, of Millersville and many aunts, uncles and extended family. He was preceded in death by his two uncles, Robert E. Frey, Sr., Harry Mock; Nanny and Pappy G, Nanny and Pappy Harris and Pap Mock.
A Celebration of Jake’s Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Bethany EC Church of Creswell, 1165 Letort Rd, Conestoga, PA 17516. Interment will be private.
