Jack S. Smith, 81

Jack S. Smith, age 81, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on September 25, 2023. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Stiles H. and Olive Marie (Horning) Smith.
Jack was a member of LCBC Lancaster Campus. He honorably served his country in the United States Army reserves. He was an avid runner and enjoyed his visits to Cape May, New Jersey.
Jack is survived by his children: Heather Good (wife of Kevin) of Mountville and Bret Smith (husband of Renee) of Manheim; four grandchildren: Nathan, Caleb, Jared and Ethan; and one sister Carol Yost (wife of Harry).
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

I just learned today about the demise of Jack Smith. This has caught me by surprise. I knew Jack Smith 1998 summer when I took care of his mother, he and the family were very good friends. Rest well and thank you for being a kind and good friend.
