Dear Mike,
Thinking of you and your family.  I am sorry for the loss of your dad.  I met him when your mom and my mom were on the same floor at Brethren Village.  He cared a lot about you and always brightened when I talked about you.  He was very faithful, loving and caring to your mom.  I am sure he will be missed.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Unfortunately my wife and I will be vacationing out of state and cannot attend Jack’s memorial service.  However, know that your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.  Jack and Marion were both active and supportive members of Covenant UMC while I pastored there until my retirement in 2013.  Their faithfulness and genuine Christian character left a mark on many lives.  May God keep you in the Resurrection hope that was theirs in Christ.   Grace and Peace, Rev. Larry D. Leister
