I once heard a saying that has stuck with me for a long time. It went something like, don’t grieve for the things we have lost but be thankful for the things we have enjoyed in our lives. I do grieve for a brother and friend lost as do all of you, but I know he has now gone home to enjoy his reward with the father for all the kindness and love he has shown to so many.
But looking back I can recall a side that not many have seen. I can recall the time when he sprinkled ashes in my bath water as I was getting ready for a date and then took off running with me in hot pursuit. I remember clearly how he and I boosted my sister onto the roof of the chicken coup, much to her laughing protest, leaving her there until mom made us get her down.
I always looked up to Jake and wanted to be like him in so many ways.
For sure I’ll miss him but for sure I’ll not forget him.
Catch you on the other side Bro, Pete Parke

We feel he was definitely our friend through joining the Lancaster County Cruiser Car Club, and quite an honor to know Jack (a gentleman), and a veteran (USAF), who will NEVER be forgotten. God bless him and may he rest in peace.
