He is survived by his brother Charles and sister Carolyn. He was the father of five children, Lynn Smith (Michael); Susann Gilland (Robert); Meghan Campbell (John); Peter, and Paul (Cathy). He took special delight in his thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved friend and longtime companion, Mrs. Gene Marie Schacht, with whom he shared a love of family, Church and music. Gene, Susann, Lynn and Meghan were devoted caregivers during his illness.

Paul was active in the community, serving on the board of St. Joseph’s Hospital, and he served on the Finance Committee of St. Mary’s Church. He was a member of Meadia Heights CC and Elks Lodge #134.

His greatest joys were found in his family, his Catholic faith, golf, and his love of music.

Condolences to the Family

To the Zanowski family,
I worked for Mr. Zanowski at the Hamilton Watch Company many years ago.  He was always a class act and a wonderful person.  I have good memories of him and I know he is in a better place as his belief in God told him.  God bless you and my thoughts are with you at this time.

Dear Lynn, and the entire Zanowski family and Gene,
Al and I want to let you know how very sorry we are.  Paul was a friend, and we share many happy memories of him, my best friend, Joanne, and of your entire family. His sense of humor, jazz piano playing, hospitality, friendship and love of family and his God will always be remembered by us. You and he are in our thoughts and prayers.
With much love,  Peggy and Al Schulz
