Irene M. Hutton, 87

Irene M. Hutton, 87, formerly of New Holland and West Chester, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. She was born in West Chester to the late John and Rose (McAnany) Daley. Irene was the loving wife of Leon W. Hutton for 62 years last November 21st.

A graduate of St. Agnes High School in West Chester, Irene completed her studies at Fitzgerald-Mercy Hospital in Darby and worked as a registered nurse at Chester County Hospital for a short time. She was an awesome homemaker. Irene was the heart of her family. She had and instilled in her family a strong faith and taught them that “you can do hard things.”

Irene was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in West Chester and was a current parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New Holland. She previously volunteered for Hospice of Lancaster County.

Surviving in addition to Leon, are their children Leon W. Hutton of Springfield, VA, and Mary Rita, wife of Stephen M. Hornberger of Marietta; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and her brother John F. Daley, husband of Danielle of Uniontown.

A viewing will take place from 10 to 11 am, followed by the funeral mass at 11 am with Rev. Patrick McGarrity, C.SS.R. and Rev. Walter Guzman as Concelebrants, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, New Holland. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Hutton was a great lady who raised 2 fine children. I am glad to know both of them and be part of their life in High School and beyond.
