Howard Lawrence Foulk, 76

June 21, 2018

Howard Lawrence Foulk, 76, of Lititz, peacefully entered into his forever rest on June 21, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends during his last days. Born in Tennessee, Howard was the son of the late Lawrence A. Foulk and Annie R. Foulk.
He graduated Solanco High School and entered the United States Air Force. He proudly served in the Air Force for five years, three of those spent overseas in Germany. After his service, Howard returned to Quarryville and also met his wife of 52 years, Lynn Foulk, and moved to Lititz. He worked for Boluva Technologies and Precision Coating Technology and Manufacturing. He worked at PCTM for over 23 years, retiring in 2017. In his earlier years, Howard shared his passion for flying with others as a part time flight instructor at Lancaster Airport. In his retirement, Howard enjoyed his time as a member of a local rock and mineral club, and as a deeply devoted grandfather who was active every day in the lives of his grandchildren, directly involved in raising them to be kind humans on this Earth as he did so for his children.
Howard enjoyed hunting and shooting, listening to bluegrass music, and fixing anything that was broken, including the hearts of his loved ones. Jack-of-all-trades, Howard could merely look at something and would immediately know exactly what was wrong with it. “Daddy can do ANYthing.” Most of all, Howard loved his family, friends, and extensive “honorary family,” who will remember him for his incredible kindness and generosity to anyone in need, and the wealth of intelligence admired by all those fortunate enough to have even just met him once. The world, from this day, is a lonelier one.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn, children; Jennifer Whiting of Florida, Ryan, Seth, Erin, Jesse, and Caitlin of Lancaster County, many grandchildren, and dear sister, Martha Brown, also of Lancaster. He is preceded in death by his parents and the families beloved boxer dog Casey.
Fly high Daddy!

Our deepest sympathy on the passing of Howard.
When in Solanco, we had many good times bowling at the Garden Spot with Howard, Clyde, Tom and myself.  Also the enjoyment we had together learning to fly at Oxford Airport with Charles “Dutch” Twyford as our instructor and the camaraderie of all there.  Howard has now gone west into the setting sun enjoying the purr of the engine and smooth air.  He will be deeply missed.

Howard was a respected member of the Solanco High School Class of 1960 and BOFUB (class members with a life threatening disease).  He was active in attending reunions, meetings and sharing his interesting stories.  He will be missed and always remembered.

It has been many years since we have seen or talked to Howard,since we moved to Arizona but we have thought of him and talked about him many times.  We worked with him for many years and he was an asset to us and many of his other coworkers. Howard was not only an asset to us at work but we also considered him as a true FRIEND. He will be missed by us and I’m sure many,many others as well as his family.
Although he is gone,he will live on in the thoughts and memories of his family and the people who knew him.
Condolences to the family from;
