Henry P. Jasin, 93

Henry P. Jasin, 93, of Lancaster, formerly of Holland Pa, passed away on Thursday March 15, 2007.  Born in Acosta, Pa he was the son of the late John and Catherine Kubal Jasin.  He was the devoted husband of the late Mary A. Dubek Jasin.  They were married for 57 years.

A machinist and tool dye maker, he retired from General Machine Products in Trevose, Pa.  Prior to that he worked for Standard Pressed Steel in Jenkintown, Pa.  He graduated from Drexel Technical Institute.  Henry helped build the Panama Canal.  He was gifted in working with his hands, and enjoyed building projects, woodworking, gardening, and scale model trains.

Henry was a very devout catholic.  He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lancaster.  Prior to moving to Lancaster, he was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Holland, Pa.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Jasin of Dallas, TX; Thomas married to Mary Jane Jasin of Lancaster, granddaughters; Jill Jasin Orosz wife of James Orosz, Staci Jasin wife of Robert Shertzer Jr., Sara Jasin, and Jennifer Jasin; great grandson, Maximilian James Orosz.  He was preceded in death by brothers Peter and Joseph Jasin; a sister, Jean Villo and two grandsons, Richard Jasin Jr. and Kevin Jasin.

A Roman Catholic Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, Pa on Monday at 10:30am.  Interment in Resurrection Cemetery Bensalem, Pa at 1pm.  Friends may attend the viewing at the Charles F. Snyder Jr, Funeral Home and Chapel Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa on Monday from 9-10am.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., Box 4125, Lancaster, Pa 17604-4125.
