Helen Satkovich, 99

December 22, 2023

Helen Satkovich, aged 99, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. Born to Anthony and Bertha Wojewodzki, she was a graduate of Ferris High School in Jersey City, NJ. She had a successful career as a secretary manager at Macy’s, RCA, and Hunt-Wesson Food.

A devout Catholic, Helen found solace and strength in her faith, radiating love and compassion to everyone she encountered. Her warm heart and genuine spirit touched the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of family and friends.

In 1982, Helen made the decision to move to Lancaster, with her late husband Robert Satkovich whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her sister Eleanor Granieri and nephew Thomas Kiliyanski, the husband of Joan. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her sisters Veronica Alban and Claire Kiliyanski, as well as her parents, Anthony and Bertha.

Family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of St. Anne’s Retirement community, whose care and expertise over the years brought comfort and support to Helen and her loved ones.

A Mass and visitation to celebrate Helen’s life will be held on January 4, 2024, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601. Visitation will begin at 10am with Mass to follow at 11am. Helen will be put to rest alongside her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

May Helen Satkovich rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
