Helen M. Bard, 86, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Born in Mount Joy, Helen was the loving wife of Richard P. Bard. She was the mother of three children: Richard M. Bard, husband of Bonnie L., Dianne M. Good, wife of Roger L., and Terri J. Roos, wife of Gregg; four grandchildren: Michael Bard, Daniel Good, Casey Roos, and David Good; and her sister: Dorothy Sumpman. Helen was preceded in death by her brother: Robert Detwiler
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster. Memorial Services for Helen will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

I remember Great Aunt Helen for her love of laughter, her part in helping my Grandma Dot in getting large boxes of Keystone pretzels sent off to Iowa, and for having the neatest handwriting of anyone I know! My sympathy to those who love and miss her! ♡

We were so sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. I have many fond memories of her over the years. My mother also has known Helen since they were kids in Mount Joy. She will miss calling and talking to Helen. She always enjoyed talking to her.
