Helen D. Zimmerman, 92

Helen D. Zimmerman, 92, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at ManorCare, Lancaster.

Born in Conestoga, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Bessie Bremberger Smith. She was the wife of the late Paul A Zimmerman, who died in 1967.

Mrs. Zimmerman was an aluminizer in the tube assembly line at RCA for 25 years retiring in 1978. She enjoyed reading and tending to her garden. Helen loved to baby-sit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.

Surviving her is a daughter, Donna M. wife of William C. Mowery of Lancaster; 5 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Bresch of Conestoga; and a brother, Preston Smith of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Zimmerman, two sisters, Mary Patchable and Jane Musser, and a brother, Nelson Smith.

Funeral services will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 11AM. Interment in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may be received from 10-11AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Heartland Hospice, 320 Granite Run Drive Suite 200, Lancaster, PA 17601.
